I’m Avik Grover — a student, entrepreneur, and researcher passionate about using business, technology, and sustainability to solve real-world problems. I’m driven by the belief that innovation should create both profit and progress, and I’m constantly exploring how ideas at the intersection of economics, policy, and design can make that possible.

  • 1 of 75 selected. Led a cross-functional team through the full product development cycle — from ideation and prototyping to market validation and pitch presentation.

  • Won “Best Overall Product” among 15 teams for developing an AI-driven wearable that integrates real-time data processing with user-centric design.

  • Applied engineering, business modeling, and user experience design principles to create a scalable, investor-ready prototype within three weeks.

  • Gained hands-on experience with product strategy, prototyping, and venture pitching under mentorship from Wharton and Penn Engineering faculty.

Aerohusk, a Sustainable Aviation Fuel Company

Manila, Philippines / Accra, Ghana

  • Selected as one of the top 25 projects worldwide (out of ~1,600) for funding in the 2025 Conrad Challenge.

  • As part of a 5-member interdisciplinary team, I developed a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) derived from rice husk agricultural byproducts — a process that turns agricultural waste into high-performance jet fuel.

  • Led the commercial viability analysis, assessing market size, production costs, and scalability pathways while also supporting partnership negotiations.

  • Partnered with Cebu Pacific Airlines, the largest carrier in the Philippines, to pilot and scale production, with the goal of advancing sustainable aviation across Southeast Asia.

  • Collaborated with the Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) Council to assess and optimize sustainable building practices in urban Indian contexts.

  • Conducted research on policy frameworks and green building standards, contributing to case studies and development strategies for climate-resilient infrastructure.

  • Created Framework for Sustainable Schools submitted to the Ghaniaian Government for impelementation on behalf of TERI.

  • Developed a business case and presented a proposal to leverage AI and virtual reality to increase the efficiency and efficacy of police training programs in Brazil.

AeroHusk is a venture focused on creating 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) from rice husk agricultural waste using a novel Fischer–Tropsch process enhanced by AI-optimized syngas generation. Our goal is to transform one of Asia’s most abundant waste streams into a cleaner, high-performance fuel that reduces aviation emissions without compromising efficiency. As part of a five-member interdisciplinary team, I led the commercial viability analysis and supported partnership negotiations with key industry stakeholders.

At the Street Academy, a free school for underprivileged children in Accra, I teach Math, English, and Science to sixth graders every other week. Beyond the classroom, I’ve helped organize community initiatives — from the annual Health Walk with over 1,000 participants to creating learning materials and visual aids that make education more engaging. My work here reflects a deep belief that education is the most powerful form of social investment, and it’s been one of the most rewarding ways I’ve connected with my community.

Ouroboros

Ouroboros is an AI-powered wearable designed to capture and store short-term audio memories, allowing users to revisit the conversations and moments that matter most. Developed through an iterative process of hardware prototyping and UX research, it merges engineering, design, and emotion — creating a new way to extend human memory. My focus has been on building both the technical foundation (Arduino-based hardware and natural-language processing interface) and the business strategy that bridges functionality with purpose.

Through interviews, portraits, and podcasts, the project highlights the unique voices of teachers, staff, vendors, and residents who form the fabric of our community. What began as a creative outreach initiative has become a bridge between school and community, reminding us that powerful stories can emerge from everyday lives.

As Founder and President of the LCS Investment Club, I built a community of over 30 students passionate about finance, business, and global markets. I design and lead weekly lessons covering everything from macroeconomic indicators to portfolio diversification and valuation, and guide members through international competitions like the Wharton Global High School Investment Challenge. Beyond numbers, my goal has been to foster collaborative curiosity — helping students not just learn about investing, but understand how global systems shape opportunity.
